Sam's distinctive observational illustrations are inspired by a love for popular culture in general (and large robots in particular).

Combining various digital and analogue techniques, they have been featured on websites and television shows, as well as in books, comics and exhibitions, and also on a movie test shoot.

Sam produced numerous illustrations for both the set and key scenes of No Heroics, a Tiger Aspect Productions sitcom. His artwork was also reused for the set of the US pilot.

Working Title commissioned Sam to create art for a test shoot of 'Paul', the forthcoming Simon Pegg and Nick Frost movie.

He designed a flyer for Edgar Wright's Halloween double bill at the New Beverly cinema in LA in 2008.
